Family conversation ...
Just in case you hadn't noticed, it would seem that it may be a good idea to listen, and i mean REALLY listen when your children are singing worship songs around the house. Don't take for granted that they are getting it completely right ...
Elissa (11yo): Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wrench like me ....
Cassandra (15yo): *LAUGHS*
Elissa! That is NOT how it goes!
Elissa: Ok, then how does it go?
Cassandra: It goes ...
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wench like me.....
See??? ..... *rolls eyes*..... KIDS!!!

That's priceless!
You, my friend, seem to be surrounded by wrenches and wenches. =)

cute! how 'bout the little boy that sang - "gladly, the cross-eyed bear" ?
LOL...That's pretty good=)
I love when that happens. I'm often trying to figure out what songs say.
Your kids are great! :)
As I just told someone else... families are great. They're like live, private sitcoms. Gotta love 'em.
I came over from Hats rec. Kids are very funny with the words of songs. I can't think of any right off hand, but there were a few songs I had the words mixed up too and was corrected later in life. How embarrassing!
You've got to pay attention to when they pray as well.......
Couple years ago I was a nanny for twin 4-yr old boys and one of them constantly said his bed-time prayer wrong (and cause much worry for his mom), he'd recite
"Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, WHEN I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take". His mom definately didn't like the "when I die before I wake" part, but the more I think about it, it is rather fitting since many people die in their sleep (a lot older than 4 yrs old, but still), so the word "when" would be rather fitting.
And speaking of songs, I remember as a kid / teenager I got very mixed up on the lyrics to "Awesome God",
Instead of "With wisdom power and grace" I would always end up singing "With wings of power and grace". It wasn't until I was practicing that for special music at church, reading the words, that I realized I had been singing it wrong.
